“Remastered”
edition, and
The Definitive Edition
for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

The original edition was released in October 26, 2004, the Mobile version in December 13, 2013 (ported to 7th gen consoles as the “Remastered” version in October 26, 2014 for Xbox 360 and in December 1, 2015 for PlayStation 3), and The Definitive Edition in November 11, 2021.

Mobile Version

The Mobile Version, adapted by War Kanyon Studios (now known as Grove Street Games) was released by Rockstar Games on December 2013. The edition was released for mobile phones and tablets, such as iPod, iPhone and Android.

Changes

  • Interface adapted for touch screens, including a fully functional map.
  • The ability to immediately restart a failed mission.
  • Improved resolution textures for vehicles and characters.
  • Some trucks and trailers have dual cak benar wheels, including the Yosemite, Roadtrain and the Tanker.
  • Remastered and fixed textures from the original version (e.g. gym weights that originally used Cherry Popper box textures, cracked glass textures, fences).
  • More parked vehicles around the state.
  • Improved menus with icons displaying the selected item (car modification shop, tattoo parlors, clothing stores, wardrobe, barber shops, Ammu-Nation and restaurants).

The Definitive Edition

The Definitive Edition was announced by Rockstar on October 8, 2021, as part of the
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition
pack. The edition was released in November 11, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC; and will be released in 2022 for Apple iOS and Android.

The edition features across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of its original version.

    • Updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation allowing players to set waypoints to destinations.
